Classical Greece: 300 Years of British Inspiration
Featuring works never exhibited before, this exhibition catalogue explores the influence of Classical Greece on Britain. The 64 paged book showcases ancient Greek art (c. fifth to third century BC)  from The British Museum, of the horse as a Greek symbol of status and heroism. Eighteenth and nineteenth century British drawings  borrowed from the private collection of Lord Elgin document the very first time these artifacts arrived on our shores.
